Residents as well as visitors of Baguio and Benguet are still lucky to experience one of natures soothing breeze – the cold weather. It was reported that the mercury level dropped to its lowest 7.5 degrees Celsius this morning. This could be one of the lowest temperature dip since January 18, 1961 where the old folks of Baguio City have experienced a chilling 6.3 degrees Celsius.
The average temperature in the city ranges between 9-16 degrees Celsius during normal cold months which usually starts in November and ends in late February.
The temperature goes colder in the higher parts of Benguet especially in the known frost prone regions such as in Madaymen (Kibungan), Paoay (Atok) Natubleng and Sinipsip, (Buguias), and of course Mt. Pulag.
It was reported that residents of Atok is bracing a 6.0 degrees Celsius cold weather. Farmers of Madaymen could be experiencing an even colder weather since the area sits on a higher elevation.

I couldn’t sleep tonight (or this morning) so I decided to check out my blog. One of the comments that I got was from you. Glad to see another blogger in Baguio.
The weather really reminded me of the old Baguio, where people had to get home early because of the very cold weather.
